option to disable glass?

not like my computer's amazing or anything the game runs smooth for the most part even on the highest settings. but when i got to the green office building (where you meet faith's sister) SWAT show up and starts shooting out all the glass and my frame rate drops so low as to be unplayable even in the lowest settings.

is there some way to disable the glass effects?

turn everything down in options?
