Most frustrating game ever....
I have been playing this game now for 6 hours but damn it is frustrating....you have to play some passages again and again and again because they are almost impossible to solve. Don't get me wrong, I like jumping puzzles and this game is all about jumping puzzles, but why did the developers design some of those jumping puzzles to be almost impossible to do? What is the fun in that? Isn't life frustrating enough? So why should I spend my time playing a completely frustrating game??

The fact that you cannot save when you want and there are only checkpints where the game auto saves does not help this situation, in fact it makes it way worse.

The graphics, sounds, environments and presentation of the game is excellent, sadly they completely destroyed those positive things with those impossible level designes.

Wait, what part of the game are you on? Chances are, if you're going the wrong way without realising, it would 8e impossi8le to get past that challenge. Try looking for other paths for you to go down, or looking up the walkthrough for the exact part you're on to find what you're doing wrong, if you're really that stuck

The platforming itself is not that frustratingly hard anywhere in the game; chances are, you are frustrated because you could not find the right solution. I'd check a walkthrough instead of giving up on the game entirely.

The level designs are actually pretty amazing. There are multiple routes you can take to get to each checkpoint. Have you tried using the hint button to show you the next checkpoint? It's alt for keyboard I think. You have to remember that there isn't one single way to get to each checkpoint, odds are you are overly complicating simple routes.

I feel your pain OP.

Decided to give it another go today, managed to get past the main sticking point that had me quit last time I tried to play the game, wall run with backwards twist/ jump and grab, took me about sixty goes before by luck I hit the right combination of buttons. Almost gave up again on different wall run with backwards twist/ jump, again by luck got the combo right about fifty tries later. Now stuck on yet another wall run with backwards twist/ jump and grab.

This game can be sublime at times, there are running/ parkour sections that no other game comes close to, but some of the platforming sections drive me bonkers.

There is so much to love about the game and yet so many frustrating parts.

it's that they're set up as QuickTime events that makes it all so frustrating. If you don't jump at just the right moment -- FAIL! Yes there are multiple routes sometimes. But only sometimes. At other times, there is only a single way to get through a section and you have to keep at it until you finally succeed. Can be very frustrating. At those moments I just quit and go play something else. When I come back, I've forgotten my previous failures and sometimes luck out.

The level design is amazing. A first playthrough can be tough though.

Pressing the Alt button will point you in the right direction.

It's not always finding the right direction that you have to go. It's getting past the QT events. Just need frequent breaks when it gets too frustrating.

It's not really quicktime events, it's not part of a cutscene or anything, It's just a move animation that is tied to specific objects. But yes, those vaults and stuff don't happen when you want them too but you have to understand that if the hitboxes were bigger then you'd just be complaining about getting stuck into a move you didn't want to do. Which honestly would be more of a problem than some of the frustratingly small hitboxes for some of the high jumps.

Funny thing is, there is actually random "secret" high jumps you can do on some objects that are oddly placed together and used in some speedrun skips or just none at all; such as some couches, paint cans, pipes, and boxes.

Just try to find an easier way UuU if its your first time playing youre going to have trouble and you need to find a longer , more easier way to get through certain levels

It's not a puzzle game. I don't get why people find this game so hard

The First Person View makes my head spin, why can't this be lovely third person like modern Prince of Persia. That's what makes me frustrated with the game. That and the heavy frame rate drops in the 2nd chapter (the one introducing the sister). I guess my PC is not good enough (although I had no problems playing Bioshock Infinite)
