Patch 1.01?

Hello! Recently decided to come back to this game after more than a year of putting it down and I have a question about the patch.

A friend said I should patch my game to make sure it runs smoothly, but suggested it might be included in the DL now. I went ahead and installed the game but I don't see a version of it listed anywhere.

Does anyone know if the game automatically installs the patch when it's downloaded, or do I have to do it manually?

steam will always keep your games updated automatically to the point where you cant even get the older versions even if you wanted to :p

I had wondered if maybe my game needed patching since the opening video sequence where Faith steps on the pavement and it shows the EA logo in her foot print is apparently missing. I get the sound effects, but it's just a blank screen for some reason.

Not a huge deal, but I'm hoping it's not indicative of a bigger problem... :|

ah thats odd, i guess you could try verifying game cache just in case

Thanks, went ahead and tried verifying it but it didn't resolve the problem.

It's not a big deal unto itself, but it does have me a little worried. I searched online to see if anyone else had the problem but so far I haven't found anything. I'm wondering if my video drivers need to be updated or something.

I've had that problem too, but I just put it down to my PC being slow to render the game window in fullscreen. I wouldn't worry about it.

Maybe I should see if it can be run in windowed mode. Although maybe a ram upgrade is in my near future. :P
