Thinking about buying mirrors edge catalyst, need some opinions from people who did purchase it.....
TL;DR - My pc is avrage and i dont like stuttering/microstuttering... should i buy the Catalyst? Also, is it any good?

Hi, i'm not sure if anybody here actually bought catalyst but i'm thinking of buying it and i need someones opinion so i would know if i actually should .... Well first off, my pc has gtx 770 with 2gb of vram, 8gb of ram and and i7-3370 with 3.40GHz. Now i know it isnt a titan x and that i shouldn't be bummed out if it doesnt run as amooth as butter, but is it good enough for a high/ultra setup? I also heard that regardless of the gpu, a lot of people complain about microstuttering in gameplay and cutscenes...... Is it true? I can't play a game decently with it stuttering every 10 second like some dying roadkill.... But i love open world games, adored the previous mirrors edge and generally like parkour :)...... Is this game for me ?

I think you should be fine on medium or high settings.

As for the game, I honestly think that yes, you should buy it.

Graphics are amazing, gameplay is much better than this one, the story is pretty average (but I dont really care about that), and the soundtrack is pretty good.

Here, Ill share this. (Posted by someone else)

"Catalyst is actually pretty good, people just expect way too much from it. Also, people really need to stop comparing the original game to Catalyst, as they are completely different games. The characters are different, the art style is different, and even the mechanics are different. Don't buy it if you expect it to be exactly like the original Mirror's Edge."

Do not expect it to be exactly like this one. But yes, you should still buy it.

I don't expect it to be exactly like the first one, i actually like th whole freeroam parkour thing. Did you actually buy the game? I'm just curious if this game is as stuttery as people describe it, or was it patched and working fine...... Because it sounds like it works pretty good, but i saw videos of it being smooth for a few seconds and then crapping itself up, like this one : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIYeMA_Cc4o (i know it's beta but that how people descibed it in some reviews....). So, is the stuttering stuff just nonesense?

I have GTX 670 (2Gb) and Catalyst lags even on low. It's still playable, but I don't like the "feel". It does not have the stutter, just the framerate is not 60fps.

P.S. The only two games that lagged on any settings (if played in FullHD) on my current PC were "Rise of the Tomb Raider" and "Mirror's Edge: Catalyst".

Well I'm playing Catalyst on Athlon 2 x2 250 8GB HD7770 1GB on Medium with Motion Blur set to Hyper it is "slowish" but smooth. Almost completed the main story and frankly speaking I find this game very boring, it's too easy and everything looks the same, the only mission I liked is when you have to climb on top of the Emporium building under construction, everything else is a yawn, I like the first one a lot more. I think they should have invested more efforts into the main missions than the open world.
