Game Resolution different than UI Res?

I'm plaything ME through again and now have an Asus 1440p monitor. It plays fine and looks great but for some reason the UI looks like it's upscaled or something. On every other res available (with Nvidia's DSR off) the UI and renderd geometry look the same but for some reason the ui when 2560x1440 is enabled looks terrible.. Anyone else have this issue?
I could play in 1080p and it would be fine -or even 1200x1440p(but then there are the black bars..) but I would like to play in native 1440p. But for some reason, the ui and rendered game res are different when on 2560x1440. UI just looks horribly upscaled, no where near as sharp as it should be.

Anyone else have problems with playing at higher than 1200x1440/ 1080p?

yeah, UI and fonts doesn't scale at 1440P and above resolutions. my old hard copy had this issue, I register the key at origin and downlod the digital version and it has exact same issue.
