Faulty Game

I am extremely pissed right now. I have bought the game before in store several years ago but lost the copy. So now i thought, "I can just get it from Steam! Awesome!" so i paid and downloaded the game on my new laptop. After starting out on cell stage, it seemed just like the store bought one and i was content but once i got to the creature stage... oh boy. The very first time in creature stage, there were no other creatures besides mine. No plants, no other species, and no trees. so i quit and started over thinking it was just a one time bug. Second time and every other time after, i get a couple of different species but still no plants or trees. Also those couple of species are not enough to move on to tribal stage. I reinstalled the game again hoping that that would fix the problem. Still no, however i can get to tribal stage now, even though i never unlocked it, but when i start it.. No other tribes, no plants for cultivation, no animals for hunting, and no fish for fishing(i like being omnivore) are you kidding me?? I paid 20 dollars for this, and if there is no update for it, i would like to see my money back. If anyone has any tips on what i should do, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.

hmmm thanks guys. Im still not succeeding. I don't think my laptop is the issue considering its only a couple months old(practically brand new). It's a pavilion m6 with A10 processor. it should be able to play this relic of a game with no problem if i can play civ 5 on it lol gosh, i just want my money back or something...

I have a laptop and innitially the game wouldn't even load, but I contacted steam about it and got a download and it worked. Try talking to steam or putting it on a friends computer :)

Tall Jake. I am a computer expert. You are right, the processer on your laptop isnt enough to handle all of the graphics and uniqueness the game has to offer.

In my case the same thing. With the addition can not I enter the stage civilization at all. My pc is good. I bought it in September of that year, all right. But the same thing happens cited above.

yeah mine too and i have 163 hours into it so i cant get a refund ugg it is so annoing cant steam know when a game it broke and it said it would take 14 days to look over it i got the email intstantley and it said refund denyed
