SporeApp.exe - Bad Image
D:\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Spore\SporeBin\d3dx9_27.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.

My game won't launch at all. I know this is a common problem - hoping to get some help here. If I run the game in compatibility mode with administrator privileges I get this error. I tried searching this generic error specifically but didn't find anything that was able to fix it.

I've tried many other things I found suggested here and elsewhere on the web. Yes I deleted all content and redownloaded. Yes I've verified game cache many times.

I guess I'm just hoping that someone here has some ideas that I haven't seen?

Is my only option to contact EA Support and get an Origin Key for the game? Le sigh.... please tell me no

Thanks!

You might have system corruption, Try running the following command as Administrator:
sfc /scannow
And also try running an antivirus scan.

No luck. I forget the message but it was something to the effect of no problems/issues.

Any other ideas?
