Not all games use the same technology for graphics.
Some games depend on technology that unfortunately is not included with cheaper graphics cards. Computers made for rapid sales usually use the cheapest technology.
For Spore:If your card does not support SLI and 3D vision, you will have problems with the game.

For more information, look up your video card to see what it supports, or post the specs of your machine here if you want help.
Solid Gamers are all about knowing what is in their computers.
Here is the listing of graphics technology on one of my video cards

Computer and game specifications are always found online.
Good luck. I hope you find your answers.
CPU:Intel(r) Core(TM) i7-900MQ CPU@2.80GHZ
RAM: 16.00GB (15.92 GB usable)
And the DIrectX11 is what was used to run League of Legends, which now does not work, so maybe thats what the problem is.
Given your recent issue w LoL, perhaps you need to uninstall your video driver. Run CCleaner. Reboot and reinstall your video driver. That looks like a great card. Also very helpful on heavy use gaming machines (ir it's not an SSD running your game, defrag, and run CCleaner with some degree of routine.
Perhaps you might need to run Spore on an Adaptive mode for XP or Win 7? That is done by going to the game executable and right clicking to change the properties. Mine doesn't require any changes and I run it from Win 8.1 64-bit. Possibly some slight differences in our machines make a difference in whether to run adaptive mods.
I looked up an older card which is on my last desktop build, a 9800 GTX + and this specifically states having SLI and 3DVison (as Spore specifies).
Supported Technologies

but... I suspect that CUDA can run SLI and 3DVision because I have an old Acer dual core laptop that has a 310M Graphics card that plays Spore without problems. And according to the NVIDIA site it supports only CUDA! So the olld technology used for Spore seems to be emulated more or less in some new technology.

I hope you can get LoL and Spore running. Best...
