Spore crash during space stage :/

I have been in the space stage for about 2 hours and suddenly it starts to crash when I communicate with a certain group, so I reloaded and the problem persisted. I think tried to avoid that group but it started crashing randomly, I have treid starting a new campain but it crashes all the time in that too and im pretty much stuck out of ideas... can anyone please help!

It is the Faildows 8. Spore was released shortly before Vista, and is unstable above Vista(meaning it crashes a lot in faildows 7 & 8). Try running it in compatibility mode for either Vista or XP. Otherwise you're golden.

Even in compatibility mode, spore commits suicide on 0x00000084

You're out of luck once it happens. It's caused by a galaxy corruption
