How to solve the "CD key in use / Privillage spore.com"

Hello, I will explain how I managed to solve my problem with the spore.

If you're receiving the "Key code already in use".

Enter on the https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/

And fill it with all necessary information, until you go to chat
chat is pretty saturated you will take a few minutes to get to talk to an attendant just keep waiting. when entering the chat, tell the attendant that you bought the game on steam and can not add keys on the origin to play spore online, send the key (Select the game on the steam and click on the View CD Key), send to the support. They will add the game to your origin problem will be fixed.

If you receive the message saying you do not have privilege to acess this.

Goto "C:\Users\(YOUR USERNAME)\AppData\Roaming\Spore\Preferences"

delete the file "login.prop", open the game again try to register a new account and he will say that the account already exists, try to login with your email "[e-mail]:yourusername", and your normally password.

and a message will appear that are linking the game to your account if you do not succeed, try again, my game are working great.

What if you just log into origin and try and add the games to your account there? Would they then run in Steam do you think?

ok well, that solves the problem of getting to play the game, but i would like ot have my NEW cd key through Steam..i dont want to use Origin to launch it, i want to use Steam...


this is ridiculous really...i regret purchasing this...

I bought this game back in september and had no luck getting it activated then, but following the above steps now I was able to get it activated in Origin, and log into the Steam version I had already installed. I just wish I hadnt paid full price for it back then lol.

You can launch Spore from steam. Install the game from your steam library and run it. At the login screen type your Origin login. If that doesnt work follow OPs instructions, they worked for me. You do NOT need Origin to play your steam version of Spore you only need an Origin account.

It won't let me log in with my EA or Origin accounts, and when I try to login with my spore account I get provelage errors, even after using this "fix". The whole thing is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess.

You can have this game on origin, and on steam with no problem.

Hate to necro this ancient thread but it doesn't seem like I have a choice, I tried what you said and they just told me to check with Steam about the code, instead of putting it on my account. I don't know what to do.
