Spore
Any way to get the Robot Parts now?
Way back Dr. Pepper released a robot parts pack that looked pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. Now that I'm thinking of getting the game, is it possible to get those parts any more? Preferably Legal.

You apparently have not heard of this cool new fad called google!
Here is a link!

There is no such thing as 'illegal Bot parts'. Why else would there be a sticky for it on the Sporum? ]The OFFICAL Spore Forums?

Lol, also you can find darkspore parts that have robot parts, which IMO are a lot better, having more options and better animations.
Forgot it what it was called.

I'm having a little trouble finding this stuff that will actually detect my Steam-based Spore installation.

The Install path for Steam is Programfiles (xYZ)*>steam>steamapps>common>DataEP1.

*YZ represents any two numbers.

EDIT: Please note that in order to use some parts mods such as betterspore, you have to do somthing else other than using force save mod, this is NOT the case for the unoffical bot parts, you do not need any hack to use them.

Well the problem is it's trying to install automatically and failing without giving me the option to redirect it. It just says Spore isn't installed.

Are you trying to install the offical version? The offical version is only for people who live in the US, own a Windows PC, and do not have the Steam verison.

You MUST use the unoffical version with the Steam version.

EDIT: Though you could try installing from Origin, not sure if you need to use a code, all I had to do was install.

Thanks, I'll look up the unofficial version.

Edit: Well everything I've found is the exact same thing. I'm reluctant to download and run just anything until it works.

So I know this is a year old, but this way of installing gives sharing problems.. Any creature using bot parts is simply unsharable if this way of installing is used, which is quite annoying... Any fix anyone knows of?

No, because the parts in the unoffical patch is considered modded by the game and thus can only be shared by posting a .png file somewhere such as email or forums.
