Spore on Windows 10

I bought Spore last week on Windows 8.1 and had many crashes before my Windows 10 upgrade decided to pop up. Now, I have gone through pure hell and was finally told that Spore WILL NOT work on Windows 10 BY THE GAME DEVELOPER! I am so disappointed and frustrated I could scream. Hope you guys get this and don't waste your money buying it on Windows 10.

Here is an UPDATE (31 Aug 15): I got Spore working, just Spore, no Creepy & Cute Parts Pack, no Galactic Adventures. At least I can play the Spore base game (It still crashes, but gives me a good hour to play and can be rebooted to get it working again). I strongly advise caution if you are considering buying this game for your Windows 10 system. I am not so willing to use third party software, if you are, be my guest and go for it. This is just a warning for the average non-techy gamer.

Mine runs it just fine as well on 10. No OS past Vista is officially supported, but they all work.

Looks like it works for some people on Windows 10, but do you get game crashes approximately every five minutes? I do. I went though all the channels, several bouts of uninstalling and installing, reloading, rebooting, safe-booting, cleaning and optimizing. It still doesn't function properly. I don't know what a virtual box is, but I guess I haven't tried that yet. What am I doing with my life? :/

I'm having a problem when launching Spore on Windows 10, it blinks on the EA logo and the sound is right, but right after it crashes and a windows notification say "Applications has been blocked from accessing graphic hardware.

Any ideas?

Spore was basically completely dumped by the developers and EA, being it a pretty old game.

Ok, so I still am not sure about a virtual box, but I tried to load it in compatability mode for Windows XP service pack 3. I get an error upon saving that says it can't save the game, but older saves should work. It looks like an in game error message, which is new. So I have gone from crashes to not being able to save. Unfortunately, I am not computer savvy about these kinds of things, so all of this has been a huge learning curve for me. Any advice to fix this would be appreciated.

Do you understand compatibility mode and administrator rights?

If so, then maybe.

You don't need to overcomplicate stuff.
