Just take a look at the 2005 Demo...
Look! It had a Water Stage! It wasn't as dumbed down! Thanks EA! Then think how this game will most likely never get a sequel, even if such a thing were to happen, it would be just as dumbed down as this game was...

Couldda been something EA forced him to do...? Don't really know. But OP, check No Man's Sky, it's a fairly similar game that's coming out for PS4/PC in june.
