Problems with running Mod api launcher

So i have downloaded dark injector and installed it via running adminstrator from the api easy installer, however when i run api launcher via administrator, it tells me if i want to update. Clicking the update will delete the api launcher and not running the update will give me a launcher error

it seems if i load the api launcher the games seems to be running on the steam app but there is no game up, and i am unable to close the game from the steam app i have to crt alt del to force close

they removed the CD key from spore base game so you have to buy it again if you want modapi to work

anyway to fix the issues without needing to buy the game again? The reason I even got it on Steam was because Origin and the EA App don't work for me after trying to fix that.
