I've owned this game for like 8 years and played it on and off, never got past the creature stage, always got bored. So I had no idea what man made horrors awaited me after it.

So I come back, with a bit of drive this time. start the cell stage, basically just Agar.Io pretty fun, I actually like the cell stage.

Creature stage, really cool, I'm learning new abilities, struggle for a bit until I befriend a big rogue-something into my pack then basically everything goes extinct at my feet.

"Ready to go tribal stage!?!" No way! What? Worst mistake of my whole life. What an absolute mind-numbing simplistic BORING SLOG. Despised it. I knew it was about to get TERRIBLE when the camera was no longer locked on an individual creature.

I talk to my friend, he says "oh CIV is better"... Civ was in fact WORSE. No idea why people like it but it's so bad. It's basically clunky out-of-date childrens Total War. It's absolutely atrocious and my creatures were RELIGIOUS (for some reason, prolly cus I was pacifist in Tribe stage) so I was getting my cheeks spread in 4K 60FPS.

I got decimated, absolutely laid out. So I delete the world and start again. Instead I go for a TOTALEN KRIEG approach and mass produce tanks, works well... until my cities started getting their cheeks spread again.

I'm sure I could beat it, but honestly what the actual hell lol. We went from a third-person evolution game to a baby version of Total War, and after a bit of research, the ABC Kids version of No Man's Sky later down the line.


I guess I'm writing this post because... what the hell lol? I expected it to be like , Cell > Creature > Big creatures like dinosaurs... but all your upgrades in Creature just mean NOTHING. They're worthless. Just there to draw out the game. And then Tribe is worthless. All these stages are basically a reset with the only thing staying the same being your lil creatures design.

Ye, super disappointed after all these years to discover this was just a Total War rip-off. Might just be shock though as for 8~13 years I thought this was a legit evolution game or something.

i get why you don't like the tribal and civilization stages but i find the space stage to be pretty fun cause you get to go to other solar systems to either start wars, make allies, or colonize planets to build up income to become a spice trader

Just because sumn's made for kids doesn't mean it can't be hard.

Going through the creature stage is all just one giant character creator if you will. Once you hit tribal there is no more evolving the way you look. At least, not that i know of or ever looked into.

The game isn't for everyone, the appeal can die off quickly for many.

Seriously. Starfield.

You have one ship. Sometimes with an ally or two. Wandering space. Exploring planets. Scanning animals. Fighting pirates. And looking for rare spices.

Plus you have countless missions on planets, so you're getting GA too.

Just make sure you have a current generation AMD GPU. I had to upgrade from an RX580 to the RX6600 to stop crashes.

Crashes for which Spore is also known.

so evolve to be fast
