Also, if you want to play Spore with the expansion packs, you need to open Galactic Adventures. If you just open regular Spore, the expansion packs won't be there. I know it sucks a bit that it's like this, but that's probably because the game is old.
Spore was released when games and expansion packs were still sold on disc. If you went out and bought C&C or GA on disc and then never installed them, you're not going to get the content.
Does that mean that I can’t use both expansion packs at once, and if yes, then what happens if I build my character in c&c and then switches to ga 4 the space stuff?
I got the game and the two expensions on steam. From those i only played "Spore" so far, so the base game. Right now I am installing GA. It is 5 GB in total, but 2,5 GB of those are already installed?? I guess the 2,5 GB is the base game content?
So, do I need to install C&C, too, and then only play the base game, to get all the content? Or GA? Or what?
You need to install them all, in order. If you mess up, then you have to start over.
There are already instructions on the proper process that are readily available. Granted, Steam search doesn't work very well, but Google should find the instructions easily enough.
I don't usually search for instructions when installing games, because unsually it is as simple as it gets. Even when installing older games, you usually just install the newest expension and get all the content.
But this seems to be a bit of a hassle, so I think I will check on google.
