Invalid Login
I've been playing Spore since it first came out in 2008 on and off. I stopped playing for a few years and reinstalled it on Steam the other day along with the Cute & Creepy pack.

Now, I have an EA account and it has Spore and everything registered to it. However, every time it tries to log me in when I launch it from Steam, it gives me the "Invalid login" error, as if I entered the wrong password. I can log into Origin's website and Spore.com just fine with that login, so I am understandably annoyed.

I have looked at the guides and such for trying to get the CD key, but they seem to apply more to those who do not have an account already. I would like to log in so I can access the history I have had since 2008.

How's you register Spore on Origin if you didn't have the CD key?

Good question! I actually re-purchased it on Steam in 2015 or so.

Logins are tied to the CD key. Multiple keys cannot be registered on one login.

Why did you repurchase on Steam if you already had it on Origin?

This was so long ago - I think in when I made the Steam purchase in 2015, the last time I had played Spore was before Origin was required. Or else I was stubborn and refused to use Origin. I honestly can't remember.

Origin is only required to play Spore through Origin. The Sporepedia server predates both Steam and EA's Origin service.

Edit: No, sorry, Steam launched in 2003. Spore was released Sept 2008, but came to Steam in December 2008. Point is, Spore has required neither Steam nor Origin in order to access the Sporepedia server.

there was a new guide that was posted that helped me log back in to spore finally, you can find it easily when going to the guide section, if that helps
