At the start, you only have one kind of instrument. More are unlocked as you progress.
Bring your band to another tribe's village, along with your chieftain. You cannot try to be friendly with a tribe that dislikes or hates you, so if they do you first need to give them a gift by selecting a tribe member and right clicking the tribe or their main hut while the Social tab is selected.
Then select your band and chief, and right click on any member of their tribe. It'll take a few moments for everyone to find a place to stand, and then it starts. There are three instrument types, and you use them basically on request to impress the other tribe with the 1, 2, and 3 number keys.
This must be done a total of two times to impress the other tribe enough to only with you permanently.
The game (though buggy) is extremely intuitive. It should be obvious what you need to do. If you can't work that out then read the manual or google an answer (or manual if not on steam). The tribe your getting friendly with holds up cards and tells your what instrument to press (provided you have actually equiped req instruments).
"and duh it doesnt tell you what to press" i have no sense of intuition, so thats very bad ... also "its the same as creature stage" no, its like a whole other game, ever heard of populous: the beginning?
Yes
This should be very obvious information. What did you think the huts were for? I guess some people need to be hand held through everything including the fact you could of googled this information in short space of time instead of waiting nearly a week to work it out through this thread.
You'd do well to remember that.
Oh thats ok, i wasn't insulted, but i think i know what to do now, so if someone could close this thread (?)
