No CD key for Spore..WTF?

i have a CD copy of the game and i have a CD-key from that i could use but i cant add that to my purchased game =( my pc doesn't have an optical drive so i wanted the digital version...

I installed the game 24 hours ago, and i still can`t play it... -.- where are the keys?

EA has to generate the keys, because they also have to sync with Origin. Valve cannot just make up a bunch of new Spore keys.

Personally, I'd refund while you can, because EA support sucks and they don't understand Spore anymore.

for all guys who want play the game and not a refund, there is a solution to play to spore: through spore: galactic adventure. it works for me. it's strange but it works. obviously, when i'll get my cd key, i'll spend on spore

Guys if you bought the expansions I actually got the game working (though you can't log in to Origin's servers so it's single-player only until I can get a key). Here's what I did:

Try to install Spore. It will download all the files into your Steam common folder, but the installer will not actually advance. If you hit cancel it will delete the files it created. Before hitting cancel, copy the files to your desktop. Then hit cancel, and copy the files back to your Steam common folder. Install the DLCs (which should work since they had enough keys for these). Then run the Galactic Adventures game and it'll work!

At least I get to play it without creation-sharing for now.
