Survival, Immersive, Story... Is This Game For Me?
I love Baba Yaga myths and I'm really interested in this game, but I'm mostly into survival, with the need to eat, drink, sleep and manage temperature to survive. I really need 1st person immersion and a good story is a major plus.

Is this game for me? Thanks in advance!

There are no survival elements and I think it'll stay that way, because it aims to be a cozy game.

so you don't have to defend yourself against anything?

Yup. There is deliberately no combat either.

At this point there is very little magic involved too. Mostly gathering, building and decorating your 'chicken' house.

This sounds incredibly boring. I'm so grateful to have a better understanding of this game. It's not for me. Thanks for the help!

You might like this game in that case

That looks amazing for some, but not really for me. Thanks for thinking of me. I really like more realistic graphics. That's a really great sale. I'm sure a lot of people will snap it up.

Try Survival: Fountain of Youth, set during the Spanish Conquest and starts out in the Caribbean, first person and single player only. Started playing during early EA and it has evolved really nice. The developers were amazing in responding to players.
I love that game for: survival, exploring, sailing on the water with different vessels you will unlock, building structures and partial farming. Your enemies are nature and animals.

Another one is Medieval Dynasty, I also played this since early EA, small studio but developers are also VERY involved here. In the Oxbow game play area you can also start as a female and it also now has multiplayer.

I think I love you. It's even on sale. It looks awesome. You might like Green Hell. I got bored of that when it got too easy. This has a lot of cool elements though. I'm probably going to buy it.

LOL, I looked at green hell, did not like it. I played Fountain for quite some time, have also several screenshots of it as well. One of them shows the canoe on top of rocks, which were later added after I had built a dock there :D Left it in place as decoration. At least the developers were very conscious about leaving old files intact and not making them obsolete.
Green Hell could be good, but I think it needs some tweaking. What is awesome is that you can get worms if you pass out and fall asleep on the ground. You have to craft needles from bone to dig them out. Then, you have to use plants to treat the wound and wrap it. If it gets infected, you need to apply maggots to the wound that you find on corpses. You also treat bug stings, food poisoning, heat stroke and so on. I really love that element. There aren't many games that get into medicine and wound treating. I think it just needs to be tweaked for difficulty and more complexity.

Hm, that is intriguing! Will have another look then.
Hope you are not freaked out by scorpions or spiders or snakes. All appear in Fountain.
Nothing scares me. The closest I get is in Subnautica, when you're in the down deep. Wish they had horror graphics instead of cartoonish ones. I'd KILL for a horror based Subnautica.
