So the entire story was a setup for Tempest Rising?
What a waste and it was so forced.

The tempest being something new and unknown to Shelly, Crawford being one faction they introduce while Greywater was another.

It did nothing for Shelly and her arc as a character, it was just all a setup for Tempest Rising instead of taking so much from the other first person games in her franchise.

Big oof, why did they let Tempest Rising dictate this game so much?

Very much looks like there is supposed to be a sequel

No its because Tempest Rising literally uses the Phoenix and other factions in it, its an RTS 3DR has coming. The last known in house developed game remaining from 3DR/Slipgate.

I hope they finish making the game before they release it.

If that’s true, it seems like a weird decision. Nothing about Tempest Rising looks like something I would want to play. Is there even much cross pollination between people who play games like Phantom Fury and games like Tempest Rising? When I see a game tagged with “base building” and “RTS”, I automatically go in the opposite direction of that game. No interest in playing something from that genre, I don’t care if it’s set in the same fictional universe or not.

Phantom Fury isn't a setup for Tempest Rising, as in Tempest Rising doesn't take place after the events of Phantom Fury. On the contrary, Tempest Rising takes place in 1997, almost 100 years before the events that occur in Phantom Fury, which takes place in the year 2101.

its Frederik Schreiber's idea. He wanted all his games to be in the same universe, and because he's as much a oldschool C&C fan as he's a duke/halflife/sin fan.

The entire Danish 3DRealms and Slipgate studio is just an outlet for his own ideas, that he pushes his devs to commit to and release in time even when they're understaffed.

Totally horrible and aimless CEO. IMO responsible for all this studio's failures

Also claimed that the original gameplay trailer from the Duke nukem forever that 80% or 90% of the game was complete based on whats released that’s bold faced lie.

Indeed, he's very untrustworthy. The only good thing about him is showing the cancelled SiN 2 game trailer.

I very much enjoyed the game, but was disappointed with the doctor at the end. Shelly needs a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ friend lol.

Did not know Tempest Rising was tied in. Good to know...
