No HUD, no binoculars?

So I learned to disable the HUD on Crysis (no health meter, no armor meter, no map, just a blank, normal screen) but it also disables the binoculars. Is there a way to get this corrected since binoculars are required to completing some missions in the game? Plus tagging enemies with binocs is a lot of fun too.

I have and everyone else is concerned with the inability of using quick-suit menu. My guess is no one has actually ever played the game with no hud lol
