Solution for load game crash

I've ran into an issue where after playing the game up to the level you're supposed to climb onto the carrier in the harbor, the game crashes and anytime you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and press load game, it crashes again.

I have a pretty good machine and am running Win7 32-bit version. Forums I've searched had the same issue for mainly 64-bit versions but apparently the 32-bit can do the same.

My workaround proved to be this:

download the savegame for the level you got stuck on. Remove everything from the Crysis folder, which should be here

C:\Users\YOURACCOUNT\Documents\My Games\Crysis\SaveGames

Follow instructions on renaming the "clean" save file and it works. Just tried it, not sure if it will turn out to be a lasting solution, but let's hope for the best.

This is the most straightforward solution I came across. All the rest were mostly from 2009, plus they involved plenty of tinkereing with system setttings that I tried to avoid.

Hope this helps anyone who ran into similar troubles.

Old post but worked for me. Kept crashing on the final mission but downloaded a clean save

For me it was very simple. the last autosave was just corrupt. When checking the size I noticed that nearly all of the previous saves were right about 980kb. The last one based on date stamp was only about 500kb. I just deleted it and then the load button worked fine in the game. Loaded the last game before the corrupt one and everything was good.

This doesn't sound like a solution, more of a work around. Unless Crysis stops crashing on load...
