Getting Crysis to run in 64-bit

O.k so here is the fix, grab the Bin64 file here http://www.mediafire(dot)com/download/iuboqsazqezvu3t/Bin64.zip

Or here http://goo(dot)gl/RrmFXv

Use . instead of (dot) thank the Steam filters.

Unzip it and paste it into the following directory where you have steam installed Steam\steamapps\common\Crysis

In this folder, do the following.

Rename the Bin32 file to Bin32.bak
Now rename the Bin64 file you downloaded to Bin32

You can now running Crysis in 64-bit.

There should really be a sticky for this in the steam forums. It's disgraceful the amount of people that can't run this game. This fix doesn't seem to work for everyone, but it did for me.

Also if your game is crashing after changing the settings. Turn off your anti-virus software while you try the game, if that stops the crashing, you need to add the game to your AV exceptions. Again not for everyone, but that should work for most folks.

You can usually with that fix if you do everything correctly.
Not even sure if its a 64Bit system problem in general. I think more like a processor problem. Some simplay doesnt work well with the 32Bit exe of crysis. Maybe because they werent out 2007. AMD FX Series for example. No clue if only 8000 FX are affected.

Sounds about right, FX 8350 here and every fix I try doesn't work. I played this game years ago with an older AMD Phenom quad core just fine

the fix on the first page worked great for me, my specs are amd fx6350+8gb ram+radeon r9 280x and windows 8.1 pro x64.
I had to force 1080 trough the config file but besides that the game is working fine.

Thanks for the help but it still wont work. I did exactly as you said with the crack, still black screens. So next I tried mounting the image in SCSI in Daemon tools, still got a black screen

Thanks for the help but it still wont work. I did exactly as you said with the crack, still black screens. So next I tried mounting the image in SCSI in Daemon tools, still got a black screen

OMG it WORKED!! THANKS A LOT BROTHER. The minicd solution works, I didnt tried the crack, it took about 10 min. to make it work. Thanks a lot, I'm using a FX 6300 and GTX750ti.

Had this problem in the last days also. First time my file was taken down.
Well some may see it as illegal stuff, since it is partly. Not intended to be used like this in this case since this is the only way for some people here on steam to get it work.

But the Crysis Bin64 exe should usually also work with Vista SP2 compability, the cracked Bin64 exe. I can definitely say it works for me and I have the same processor which seems to be one of the reasons why it doesnt work. What system do you use? Windows 7 64Bit? Because thats my system I tested this on and it works flawlessly.

Go to your programmsx68/steam/steamapps/common/Crysis/bin32/

and click onto the Crysis.exe rightclick -> properties -> run as administrator.

That fixed it for me :)

And your system is a 64bit system? If so, just consider yourself lucky. Not too many people have it that easy
