Getting Crysis to run in 64-bit

O.k so here is the fix, grab the Bin64 file here http://www.mediafire(dot)com/download/iuboqsazqezvu3t/Bin64.zip

Or here http://goo(dot)gl/RrmFXv

Use . instead of (dot) thank the Steam filters.

Unzip it and paste it into the following directory where you have steam installed Steam\steamapps\common\Crysis

In this folder, do the following.

Rename the Bin32 file to Bin32.bak
Now rename the Bin64 file you downloaded to Bin32

You can now running Crysis in 64-bit.

There should really be a sticky for this in the steam forums. It's disgraceful the amount of people that can't run this game. This fix doesn't seem to work for everyone, but it did for me.

Also if your game is crashing after changing the settings. Turn off your anti-virus software while you try the game, if that stops the crashing, you need to add the game to your AV exceptions. Again not for everyone, but that should work for most folks.

The CD one has the 64Bit files. Also there is the proper launching method with CD Check, Securom and what not used. Using Cracks or "No CD" exes in Crysis can always cause troubles and instability. Especially the 64Bit ones because they were optimized for Vista only.

Nope - no luck here with Windows 10. 64-bit version tries to launch but steam window disappears with no information immediately. Digging around in the logs I found the following:

UI[2]=E:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Crysis\bin32\crysis.exe
UI[3]=launch64 tool for SecuROM has stopped working

I beleive that the crysis.exe is actually a launcher of some kind for the crysis64.exe file but this is where my knowledge runs out.....

It is. It launches Securom, which is the DVD checking tool. Then the real Crysis.exe gets launches.

I have Windows 10 for some days now. I will look into it.

Thanks for the info. After (admittedly not much) searching have found that Windows 10 wont run anything with securom DRM:

Ok, runs fine here. I used the 64Bit 1.2.1 Original DVD files from my upload and tested it.
I used the Mini Image Method. Works flawlessly as always. However, Daemon Tools changed its design a bit. You would have to mount it into the SCSI drive.

I didnt tried the Crack method. I can just remember what I always said. The 64Bit 1.2 crack was made with Vista in the mind. Therefore its only optimized for Vista. Using the compability mode Vista on the exe works in Windows 7. Cant tell about Windows 10. Maybe it doesnt work at all anymore now.

Well, looks like using my mini image method actually seems to work. Securom thinks the Mini image is the original DVD. At least as long as you use a SCSI virtual drive.

Should. Mini Image is still something else though. You dont need the DVD to be honest if you download my files. Since its emulates a Image of the DVD.

I dont allow dameon tools on my pc thou, can it be mounted with mount option in windows 10 pro ? like i do with all my other images.

No. It needs some special sort of copy protection emulation drive. Daemon Tools is fine, probably the best from all mounting tools. Just make sure to dont install the toolbar or search or whatever it wants to install but thats for nearly all free programs the case.

If you use the original DVD in your drive, yeah it should work too and you need to keep it in all the time.

Black screen, go to task manager and get program not responding. Not amused!!

Same thing happened to me. Just installed the game and it's not working.
