1) Dialoglogo128x128.jpg - a jpeg image of a logo. Some games react poorly when a expected image fails to load.
2) ij15.dll -deals with jpeg images
3) GL.ini - opengl settings
4) Paul.dll - authentication keys. At least it used to be several years ago. Not sure now since it is a different size. Possibly server list?
5) intellaptopgaming.dll - Only necessary if gaming from an intel based laptop. Note to guide guy might want to mention that.
6) testapp.exe - necessary for editor.
7) winui.dll - necessary for windows based pc. User interface/overlay I believe multiplayer.
8) zlib1.dll - Not sure on this one I think playstation related or emulation.
You should have 50 files in the Bin64 renamed bin32 folder as opposed to 42 in the original Bin32 folder after installation. 49 are needed if not using a laptop.
Hope you can play it soon.
Yeah, I only ever had to do the 64-bit trick when I wanted the game to run in 64-bit mode.
Otherwise the 32 bit version runs just fine on W7 64.
(honestly, I didn't see any performance improvements running the 64 bit version of Crysis).
See #5
4) Paul.dll
This is still key authentication / activation and recognition by Origin
5) intellaptopgaming.dll
This is for CPU architecture compatibility. Not specific to intel or laptops. Works in tandem with the ij15 library for texture referencing when non-agp gpu is present.
8) zlib1.dll
It's for ZLib which is essentially archiving and compression. Used by many formats for its freedom of licensing.
