Crysis is 5 bucks... Does it still have SecuROM?
I'd like to get this with warhead. I've always wanted to play these. But do these still have SecuROM?

Wasn't the activation limit increased to 50 activations, anyway, rather than the original 5.

Yeah but like HunterKiller said it's not that the problem, it shouldnt have this kind of thing! You buy the game and not rent it so it should be yours not just for 50 activations..

That's not really my point. People here are getting bent out of shape about a 5 machine activation limit, which is pure misinformation, which is being perpetuated by the Steam store itself. I agree that activation limits are a bad thing, and with the increase to 50 activations, they'd be as well removing it altogether, but I'm merely pointing out that the problem isn't as severe as many here are making it out to be. There's a bit of a frenzy being whipped up when there really needn't be.

Well, all I can add to it is, they've already made a forutne off the game and by keeping a limit on it, no matter how small or, big, they're discouraging a lot of new clients from wanting to purchase it. I'm sure that it's been Pirated all to hell and by now, who really cares anymore? I don't because I know I got it legally. If these companies were all that smart about it, they'd include anti-pirating codes to prevent it from being pirated, don't you think?

Hell, my loacal Library has a preventive measure for the DvD's they rent that prevents those that rent them, from copying them, and if they can do it then, these multi-million dollar companies certainly can.

99% of people would never use the 50 activation's. But hat's not the point. Not supporting this kind of drm is meant to show dev/publishers that people will not buy their game if they use this kind of drm.
The theory goes that if they can see that they are losing sales because of drm, they will stop using it. We all know that any form of drm is cracked usually within 24 hours of the games release, so securom, rockstar social club, tages, uplay, etc only punish the paying customers.
