- The acting is horrible
- Gunplay seems weird (seriously, I just put 30 bullets in your back, and all you do is say "oof" and continue?)
- It's just boring, reminds me of Far Cry 2
- Aim down the sight is toggle, and toggle only? Who does that?!
- Sniping's impossible since the main character seems to have Parkinson's, judging by the sway of aim.
There may be other things, but I haven't played the game that long yet.
It was good for it's time, but then again, what did it have to compete with? It's not bad, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't stand out. I'd rate it just below mediocre.
As for the "critical acclaim": Reviewers most of the time don't know what the hell they're talking about, and will hype anything.
As for the swaying, I'm going to assume you've used a gun in real life before. Because I'm going to be honest, the character can hold his aim and control recoil a lot better than I can. Saying the character has "Parkinson's" is actually kind of insulting when I think about it.
Of course, I actually like Far Cry 2. And people hate that for reasons I can understand better. At least you are putting some reasons behind your opinion rather than just considering it a given that Crysis "sucks."
That must be it, using the suppressed version of the AK variant. Found a scope now so I just shoot em in the face, problem solved.
While it might be about the same standing as with a real gun, lying down I've never had my gun nausiate me.
@ The gun sway whilst aiming / sniping, switching the nanosuite to "Maximum Strength" whilst aiming sures things up quite well.
Maximum strength seems to help with controlling the gun after shots, but it wont take away much, if any, sway.
I find that it does, particularly on the double zoom when sniping.
Anyway, from the manual :
Everybody on this forum. Except not everybody, only a few dozen. And it can be assumed that many of those people have something wrong with or on their pc, like faulty directx installations, drivers, or just flat out under qualified computers.
Also, nothing to do with the game itsself.
