No cd/dvd-rom drive found. No kidding.
Why on earth do I suddenly need this?

I try to lanch the game and a box pop's up saying "No cd/dvd-rom drive found". I'm not sure why it is doing that.

Have you patched it at all? I think it's something to do with the DRM.

Yes, I got it runing the first time by doing the 64 patch. I reinstalled windows 7 64 the other day and reapplied the patched folder and now I am getting the message. ATM I am redownloading it to see if that fixes it.

hey my solution was launching it with the normal 32bit bin and it would launch (on a black screen i use 64bit) then i launched with the patch and it fixed it although when it gets past the ea sign thing it just crashes for me dont know if you'll have the same problem

i fixed the crash thing by going in the bin and creating a shortcut from there if your wondering

The Steam version is patched. If you patch it with the retail patch it will change it to the retail exe which requires a disc check.

Wouldn't run at all until after the patch. had to redownload and reapply the patch and then the game ran fine.
