All 3 methods do not work for me :(
Wow.....I cant imagine how mad I'll be if that were to happen to me....at least we can all play this game on Steam....
I don't get all the hate for Origin. They've always done right by me and have gone above and beyond. Anyway, just give them a shout. They'll get your keys activated for you and who knows? You might get lucky like I did
No problem man. Origin is set up funny especially with older games. You can find a little info here and links if you need to go somewhere else to activate. It all depends on the game. There's an old pre-2008 activation link listed on this page that isn't working right now but I've used it before with no problem. It's just down right now

If all else fails, just contact Origin support. They've always done right by me and they'll gladly help you get your keys activated. This was the second time I've had to contact them for this. The last time was for some old Command & Conquer games about a year ago
Have fun
When you talk to the tech support, tell them you bought the game from Steam and like to activate the game on Origin. They would need these information, so have them ready before going into the chat:
- your Origin email;
- answer to your seurity question;
- Steam keys for Crysis 1. Go to Steam, Library Tab, Crysis 1 and on the right hand side there is a link called CD Key. Click it and copy to clipboard;
- proof of purchase. Go to Steam, click on your Steam wallet and go to account details. Take a screenshot of Store Transactions and make sure your Crysis 1 transaction is visible.
After that they should ask you to activate your keys on Origin website. Follow the link they give you and report the findings. After that they should handle things from this point and on. You may have to go through a few tech support to get through.I got a GTX 1070 and an obsolete quack core i7 6700K with 423,827 very yeses. Can my PC run Crysis? Time to find out.
Every EA game being sold on Steam comes with a CD Key which is redeemable on Origin.
The reason for this is so players will go to their platform rather than being here.
Crysis 1 is the only one that had the issue and it is well known issue which Origin support will assist with.
Are you reading the same thread, the point is not all keys are redeemable.
Its purely down to the distribution deals done at the game was bought, it can vary from game to game and deal to deal, which is why some keys do work and some do not.
For instance if you bought a game a year ago on a deal, it could be steam promised a kick back to ea for the sale, so the key is redeemable on either platform as ea got some money for the game being sold, but then you could buy a game on steam, where there was no kick back or deal, so therefore the key only works in steam, as ea made no money on the game so why should they let you access that game on their origin platform etc.
Because the customer support rep told me that it was a known issue and that everyone who bought any EA game that came with a CD key should be redeemable on both Steam and Origin as long as it was purchased on Steam.
All of the EA games I have on Steam , I was able to redeem them on Origin easily minus Crysis which I had to go through a customer rep.
Anyways, I already got my key redeemed on Origin two years ago, so this thread is pretty much solved.
