It does seem to need really high specs compared to the original. I mean I know its a new version etc, but the difference in specs is huge, where as the difference in graphics, is really not that impressive, do not get me wrong they are good, but for the spec difference, for me at least they seem a bit of a letdown, especially if you play the original modded, which look almost as good.
However, the remastered version does look stunning with RT enabled and the added textures, new colors, do make the game feel brand new. I have a AMD 3950x cpu and the RTX 3070. If that's not enough for stability your game is unoptimized. Done. My rig can max out Crysis 3 on my Samsung G9 monitor which supports 5120x1440 res.
I wouldn't buy the game until the devs give it proper cpu optimization and much more positive reviews start pouring in. I requested a refund today and got it. Don't buy it!

I bought and played through the remastered version recently and at 4k with RT Off, Balanced DLSS and a mix of Very High and High settings while only water being set to Medium I was able to get a pretty damn solid 60fps through the entire game. That is not a feet I could achieve on the OG version.
I was especially shocked on the ascension mission that they added back in which was a rock solid 60 where as in the original version, no matter what the settings, I would get drops to the low 40s maybe even hitting the 30s at parts even with my system.

I did a replay of Crysis OG about a year ago and just finished my playthrough of Crysis Remastered and I have to say I enjoyed my playthrough of the remastered version more considering the performance was vastly improved during parts that tanked it before no matter what settings used. Plus OG Crysis crashes fairly often mainly at the end boss fight.
I never played Crysis remastered before the 2.1 patch but it's definitely worth it now. Especially if you have an RTX card and can utilise DLSS.
Decided to give the Remaster a try since it's on sale and...so far is working fine. Actually, this is the first time ever that i have the chance to play this game and experience it properly. Couldn't do it with OG version and didn't have much fun with the PS3 version (performance was horrible). Now i'm actually having fun playing the damn thing...i'm running Shadows, Objects and Vegetation on Medium and everything else on High + DLSS Quality (but no RT since i don't really care about this anyway) at 1080p and at a very stable 60fps. I think i can run the game on High - based on some tests that i did - but i'm mostly focused on gameplay rather than graphics and i prefer not to push my laptop that hard. Maybe sooner or later i'll hit a stress point that'll make my CPU crawl but for now i've been having fun. This is still a demanding game and you need a really good CPU to run it with everyhing on Very High or beyond, since Crysis still doesn't work very well with all the threads...or something like that.
Anyway, that's my opinion. Most people still prefer the original and it's fine, but i'm really enjoying the Remaster, even though it isn't perfect, but gameplay is smooth and fun for me. Try the game since it's on sale, you can ask for a refund if you don't enjoy it.
Nah, its a quick cash grab with hardly much changed and charging 30$ on epic. No thanks. Replayed Warhead/1/2 and each one has bugs galore they don't fix. The main boss for example I glitched through the carrier and died about 20-30 times. Their company sucks.
Plus from what I heard the CPU limitation issue in 2007 was still in the 2020. What exactly did they add? ENB?
I should rephrase; It's worth it if it's on sale. You're right it's not worth it at full price. I bought it when it was half off on epic just a few days ago.

In 2.1 at least the CPU utilization is definitely better than the 2007 release. For instance I can now get a solid 60fps on the ascension mission where as in the 2007 release this was not possible no matter what the settings because of the CPU utilization limitations.
Graphics between the two is definitely a mixed bag. Some things look better in the original and some things look better in the remastered.
For me the better performance and way less crashes make the remastered version more worth playing to me.
Remastered is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ anyway. It might've been better than the original console version, but the original PC version is WAY WAY better in every way.
It's actually not.
