Mods to make get the most out of Crysis for enthusiasts.

I never bothered looking into modding Crysis for years because I always found it was such a stunning looking game. Eventually I decided what the hell so I followed this mod guide and I absolutely recommend it to everyone with good hardware. I'm playing on a 980ti and I barely noticed a performance hit installing these mods.

They game looks absolutely stunning after installing these mods and it doesn't completely change the look of the game like some mods do. In the end it basically looks as if the game had an "Ultra" setting after Very High.

So from this video, I recommend installing every mod except for Blackfire's mod which totally changes the color of the game I personally think it looks ugly. The links provided by the youtuber are all dead now but I was able to find each mod just by googling them from alternative sources.

The mods are all very easy to install .pak files that you just drop into your Crysis/Game folder. It seriously brings the game out to it's maximum potential and updates alot of low res looking textures that were in Crysis.

In my opinion yes. It's really a combination of different mods. I'm not a big fan of mod's that totally change the look of the game I just like mods that enhance what is already there. It's just really a bunch of texture mods, with a mod that gives better shadowing and lighting. Just gives the game that extra little something that it needs in 2015.

I have a 980 Ti as well and with stock Very High settings, downsampling from 4k using DSR, I get around 40FPS average.

The game looks VASTLY superior with downsampling compared to 1080p but eats at least 12 fps
