That 3rd party website just reuploaded the exact same official files you'd get from the GOG version yourself and I said "alternatively" before that link for a reason.
It's just like a shortcut if you don't feel like buying the same game twice, then downloading the entire game just for that 1 small folder which is reuploaded on that website to make things much quicker and cheaper.
Formally, my solution is the one with GOG directly because that's where Crytek themselves uploaded their own official version of Crysis, but "formally" aside, I just used that website for the reasons in the paragraph above, but I will definitely buy Crysis and many other games on GOG in the future because they deserve it and I would love to own DRM-free versions (official ones, not cracked) of all my favorite games that I (re)play almost all the time.
Also, how would that method with Warhead work? They're 2 different games with different executables. Is it just the other contents of the Warhead folder and those are interchangeable? I don't know, I've never tried.
GOG is a *very* reputable company, perhaps THE best store to buy DRM-free games. You can trust them with your life.
