CDKey / Product Activation

Anyone else got a problem with Product Activation?

Trying to paste the Key given by steam (-> show cdkey .. ) & the game says There is a problem with verifying ownershop of your game....

This isn't an issue of steam its a fault by EA as they've prvodided a wrong/fauly keylist

We can only blame steam for not removing the product from listing.

Try activating it on origin instead.

If you own crysis warhead, I would highly recommend running Crysis in the warhead engine, just anyway, and using the 64 bit warhead .exe, as it has no DRM on at all

I can't get it to launch even with the CD key from Steam... SO, based on the thread, it's EA's fault... unsurprisingly. Good to know Warhead is an updated version. I think I have that on Origin.

Where are you trying to activate your key, are you trying to activate on say origin or what?

Just when it launched from Steam, the game prompts for a key... I past in the key from the sidebar that Steam gives me, but it says it's invalid.

If steam doesn't work one thing you can do (if you have an origin account) is contact ea support and you will need to give them your cd key and make sure you have your security question and they will be able to give you it on origin.

^I did this myself, since at first my cd key doesn't work when redeeming it on origin and I thought going on origin would give me the 64bit version, and to me it doesn't matter where I Have crysis since I mainly bought it off steam since I had some spare money in my wallet and I decided to by the maximum edition.

How do i contact EA since i've tried live chat and no answers it (dont worry i waited over an hour) I have the exact same problem, EA dont really have an email and their customer support is the worst on the planet so how?

If you purchased the code from Steam, I would have to revert you to them as we won't be able to provide a replacement

What I did was when it asked to select a product I searched for origin, and I chose the one with the icon that displayed Origin Powered by EA, then selected my platform which was PC.

Then I described my topic which was codes and promotions, invalid code, and then I described my problem where I bought the maximum edition on steam and when I tried to redeem my cd key it was invalid, the guy was pretty helpful.

After giving him my Crysis/Warhead key, he was able to activate them both on my origin account, and before the chat ended I could verify on my end that I did infact get the two games registered on my account.

When you do this you will need to have your cd keys ready and make sure you know your security question and it should go through.

edit: I could have maybe gotten lucky, since the guy one my end said since I was a loyal origin customer that he was able to get me those games redeemed on my account.

EA is seriously full of ♥♥♥♥♥, i've been trying to contact them all day through live chat, their wating time says 5 minutes, its been more than that and Im still getting no reply from them at all, when did u get in touch with the live chat agent?

So basically since EA are just full of ♥♥♥♥♥ as i said and there is absolutely nothing u can do with their help support, i just used this and downloaded the programme and now I am able to run Crysis WITHOUT INPUTTING THE KEY--------

I've tried everything. It won't work for me at all. Dashes or not, it won't accept my product key no matter what. I really want to play this game, but I guess that ain't happening.

If anyone knows of a working solution, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!!

Exit steam, right click and run as administrator, input key.

I had the same problem and this is how I fixed it.
