Edit: i also went throught EA support but they told me to come to steam support then steam support told me to go back to EA support then i went through 5 different people and none of them could fix the issue after 2 hours so i gave up
Edit part 2 solution: so the bin 32 file does work once you install it open it then drag the files into your steam folder after that right click on the crysis one you just installed (it should look like this "crysis (2)") then click open and thats what worked for me if your still having problems delete the original crysis exe and click open on the new one again. this is great but the only problem is you cant start it with steam or it will mess it up and you can only start it by clicking open on the new exe file. hope this helps and i hope steam fixes this like im pretty sure all they would have to do is remove the CD key feature and then the game would work but idk im not a programmer.
STEAM WTF ??
i had the same problem, i bought this game and the cd key wouldnt work, i looked through a bunch of steam discussions and found 1 that works
you need to download the latest patch from:
github https://github.com/ccomrade/c1-launcher/releases
then copy the crysis.exe and crysisdedicatedserver.exe that you have in the c1 launcher folder, then go to crysis game directory and go to the bin32 folder and paste the files there,it will say there are files with the same names click overwrite and launch the game
--> I bought the game yesterday and after i got the files in my crysis folder it worked instant. i also installed the crysis enhanced edition mod and been playing since yesterday^^.
Do you tried the solution i posted above your post?
you need to download the latest patch from:
github https://github.com/ccomrade/c1-launcher/releases
then copy the crysis.exe and crysisdedicatedserver.exe that you have in the c1 launcher folder, then go to crysis game directory and go to the bin32 folder and paste the files there,it will say there are files with the same names click overwrite and launch the game
When you click the link https://github.com/ccomrade/c1-launcher/releases your taken to there page and under "Assets" the first link youll see is in blue text and says "c1-launcher-2.6-build.zip" click that and save with winrar, when you open the winrar there are 2 folders, bin32 and bin64, both folders have "Crysis.exe" and "crysisDedicatedSever.exe" paste the contents of the bin32 folder into your game directory folder, click replace and it should be good to go.
