Crysis

Game crashes constantly during final "Reckoning" mission
My specs: RTX 3080 i78700 32 GB Ram, Win 10

After the third attempt I give up, this is total crap, game crashes constantly during final fight on carrier flightdeck, completely unacceptable. Before that it ran smooth without any issues on very high graphic detail all the time, but now I´m obviously not able to finish this, it´s just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying.

Ok just for the record, this seems to be an issue since at least 10 years ago, there seems to be a workaround with switching back to directX 9 or what, but I just don't have the nerve to be bothered with ♥♥♥♥ like this, after a few more crashes I just watched the last 10 minutes on youtube so ♥♥♥♥ it lol

I have fixed this problem, the game crashes when you have way too many saves.

Hm okay, maybe I'll have a look again. But I only have the automatic checkpoint saves the game generates, no manual saves at all. If this causes the game to crash I really wonder why this was never fixed.

There is a fix for all DRM for this game, link at the bottom of my review

"Reckoning"I had the same problem with the crashes at the end, the VERY end.

Since I got Crysis 2 and 3 on sale, I decided to install the first one again, I thought maybe being on a newer PC would make a difference.

I don't know...

It's been a long time since I played Crysis. But if the crash is occurring in the aircraft carrier phase. To solve this problem, just create a crysis game shortcut on your windows desktop from the steam folder and put it to run in DX9 (-DX9) as follows:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\crysis\Bin32\Crysis.exe" -DX9

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, man i've played the entire game using DX10 and it was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The game was extremely laggy and had a gigantic input lag. Putting on DX9 made it butter smooth, i'm not even kidding. It's a shame i only saw this now, at the end of the game lol. But thanks anyways man!

1. Right click on desktop shortcut
2. Open Properties
3. Add a spacer at the end of Target line, then add this command:

-DX9
