Black Screen Crash Win10 64bit

I have bought the game yesterday and when I tried to play a black window appeared and got fullscreen size. After coupple of seconds it dissappeared, simply crashed. I tried a lot of methods those i have seen from other people but none worked. Still i'll take my chance so tell me all you know please.

There isn't a bin64 folder in my gamefiles. I tried to download one and rename to bin32(including crysis64.exe inside) but i couldnt get anywhere. Tried to crack it this is another method i learned from internet and didn't work again. I tried to delete that game startup video or intro thing whatever it is and i only got a error message popped on my screen this time. Finally i was gonna give up but i want to try my luck here first. For the worst case scenario i will refund it. Still it would be nice to play it after years.

Just to note i think the files i have downloaded for some of my failed tries were for another version of the game so it might be the problem but not sure.

I suggest you to contact EA Sports they'll help you. If I had time those days they were to help me but I am going for refund now. Actually I have played Crysis games so many years ago so I am ok with it.

Hello together.

i had the same issue like you. But i found a page were you can download the Bin64 folder.

rename the old bin32 folder to bin32old or bin32.bak or what ever you want. then rename the downloaded bin64 file into bin32. The game just use the bin32 file to start.

Or if you dont want to download from 3rd party sites this one worked for me.

1. First you need to have Crysis Warhead or get a copy of folder from somebody who has it.
2. In folder C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Crysis Warhead find folder Bin64 and copy it. (C represents here the letter of your steam install folder)
3. Open Crysis folder and paste it there.
4. Rename it to Bin32(you can delete the one that was already there or just rename it before).
5. In Bin32 find Crysis.exe and delete it. After that rename Crysis64.exe to Crysis.exe
6. Run the game as Administrator (Right click "Run as administrator).

Yeah maybe renaming crysis64.exe to crysis.exe would work or using your method maybe because of some optimization or version issues idk. But still i dont have Crysis anymore i just refunded it so still thank you.

I'm done with this game, this didn't work for me.

After the introduction video the screen turns black and the game freezes.

After a new game start, it will play the cinematic video and the screen will go black => hit the "~" key ( its next to the number 1 on the left) to open a command prompt, type "con_restricted 0" then hit enter, then type "map island" and hit enter. Game should start loading. (only needed for starting new games).

Just use the 64bit Version and it will run without a blackscreen or crash at startup.
