Is this game open-world?
It feels like it is in some parts until you end up at an edge

It kinda is- the world is open yet there is no reason to explore.

No, its not. open world. People throw around that term like it applies to anything with a big map.

You have levels. Each level has objectives. Some levels are large making you progress towards the central objective. Some missions have 1 or 2 optional side objectives to complete. Most levels only allow you to approach objectives in the way you want from mostly any angle you want.

The structure itself is linear. Some of the maps are just big. Thats all really. Its defintely not an open world game.

Thanks, I felt it was weird because the first level gives the illusion of open-world, but the rest of the game you are constantly being gunned

Thanks Hazuki, at first I had the impression I'm dealing with a Far Cry-like world, considering how I ran away from the enemies and got pretty far on the island without any warning popping up telling me to return, or any invisible wall whatsoever. At the end of the mission however I got a loading screen with a "chapter-like" title, which got me confused.
