Why yes, read the forums, there are plenty of threads on this already, full of fixes.
If you still cannot get it working. list your full specs and what you have tried in order to get the game working, then we can suggest something you may have missed.
this is the only guide that worked for me, years of failure ended two days ago. everything is included, no suss downloads. make sure if u tried other patches to uninstall and delete as instructed or it wont work.
I got it working by downloading the 64 bit patch and re-naming the 32 bit folder.
Although it still won't run when I attempt to launch from my steam library, But it's fine.
Thanks again for the reply(s)!!
This works! 0 crashes since using it.
The issue I get when using this method is that, after I've done all the steps, when I try to launch the game, I get an error saying "This application is not compatible with the installed operating system. Please upgrade to Windows 98SE, Windows 2000 or better." The Crysis executable has no compatibility tab, so I can't do anything with compatibility settings either. I've also tried running the Crysis 64 executable directly from the folder, but this just leads to the black screen crash at start-up that I'm trying to avoid.
And yes, I'm adding -dx9 to the launch options as well.

A little over a year ago, I had the game running well, and was able to complete it from start to finish. I know I applied some trick to make it work on my system, I'm almost 100% positive it was the 64bit fix, because I had a 64bit folder in my Crysis directory.
I've heard changing the graphics settings in-game can apparently screw up the game's settings and make it crash on subsequent launches, I did do this and wonder if that could be the cause. I was able to do this in the past with no issues arising from it, though.
I'm gonna try updating my graphics driver. It could be that some GeForce update throughout the years broke it.
Aaaaand that did nothing.
Have you tried patches or compatability mode?
Patch can be found here: http://www.crytek.com/games/crysis/overview/download
And if you search google for Crysis 64 bit patches the first link should be to a guide a guy (Mcshave07) did on steam community forums.
lol I tried so many things before I actually got it running haha.
Now it's your turn to take the pain:D :D :D
Congrats!
Enjoy some pretty freaking awesome gameplay:D
