We Are Back! With a Vengeance and Audio2Face.

Hello, demon (and angel) hunters,

It has been a while!

But there is no need to worry. We were busy taking care of your feedback as well as adding, fixing and enhancing Unawake.

For example, among other things we added Metahuman to the toolbox we use within our highly modified Unreal Engine 5.

Additionally we are very excited to announce that we are incorporating Audio2Face from NVIDIAs Digital Human Technologies AI Toolset to give our characters the extra edge.

To see what we are talking about, here is the video that NVIDIA is showing at the GDC currently held in San Francisco.

As you can see, we are making good progress with Unawake.

Yet as a very small team with really big ambitions we decided not to rush the development and give the game the time it needs to meet your expectations – which you voiced after the last demo runs loud and clear.

Having said that, we will give you more frequent updates and fresh looks into the game, its enemies, its lore and much more in the coming weeks and months. And we have a lot to show you!

We are very much looking forward to take you on a journey into the dark and sinister world of Unawake on our social media channels and Discord, where we will show you more of the game very soon.

Horrible melee combat...

Feels weightless, no impact, unsatisfying garbage spam, enemies are brain dead. This needs lot of work, see you in 2024.r, this demo is garbage sorry.

Scream Fest has arrived – and so did a new demo

Hello Scream Queens and Kings,

with Steam Scream Fest celebrating sinister, dark, mysterious, and downright spooky games, we can reveal to you that a new, enhanced and Halloween themed demo for Unawake is available right now until the end of Scream Fest on November 1st.

We added not only a few Halloween surprises but took the community feedback on board that we received with our last demo during the most recent Steam Next Fest.

We tweaked, added, and enhanced a plethora of elements (most of them suggested by the thousands of players who checked out the last demo, thank you to all!!) to make sure that your gameplay experience is better than ever – no trick-or-treating needed.

So, what are you waiting for?

Hop on to the Unawake main page, download the new demo and tempt your fate while trying to defend the demonic horde.

Awaken! It's Steam NEXT Fest!

Steam NEXT Fest starts today! Lots of new and great games to play demos of.
We're sending Unawake into the fray, and we're not quite sure if maybe the demo isn't playing you. In any case, an infernal adventure awaits you somewhere between heaven and hell on the new Unreal Engine 5!

Arm yourself and wade into battle against the legions of hell and heaven. A word of advice: if too many are coming, lie down on the ground and abandon all hope - or fight as bravely as you can!

Steam NEXT Fest starts now and runs for one week until 16 October 2023.

[Feedback] I did some testing !

Thought i'd give some extensive feedback ! Disclaimer for the devs (As i saw you read feedbacks, this is great and makes me quite optimistic for this game !) What a piece of crap...

The title says everything, I guess. The graphics are good or okay and runs 4K @ 100 FPS. But much details or variance in enemy types are non-existent... Well, not much positive to say, the sound options are bugged, turned down to 10% and still some effects blasts your eardrum away. You can lower your sound extra instead of master, which mutes your effects, the enemies still blast your eardrums. In the demo I had already a situation where I respawn in a middle of a fight, which is unfair and sucks. Another ...

First off, I love the inspired Diablo/Dark Messiah vibe you're going with. Combat reminds me a lot of Dark Messiah which is only a good thing to express. Having said that, given it's an alpha I figured I'd give my feedback anyway on things you're probably well aware of or maybe you just didn't consider. Looting chests and bodies is a bit cumbersome.
