Can you dismantle loot?

I'm just wondering if you can destroy loot and get back items? Instead of having all that stuff in the buy back items of your merchants. Whats the best way to deal with loot and drops?

Best way of dealing with equipment dupes is selling them (even after grinding to lvl100 I still needed to money grind for filling out the equip log).
Make sure to sell to non-Witch Tree vendors; there's a bug (unsure if fixed as yet) where the discount upgrade allegedly "discounts" the amount they pay you for selling things.
