Where can I buy lock picks for the game?

You can buy them from the map guy, the one who you give map pieces to. If you haven't found him yet I think he is sitting on a wall in one of the first few areas you start the game.

to add to that he gets more everytime you level him up, or something like that. There is also more than enough lockpicks for every chest. Some enemies or boxes can drop them, and sometimes you find some around the world. they look like little white/bluish things.

often there is even one somewhere around the area nearby. So exploring the few rooms around the chest you may get one.

You can mark on the map where the chest is so you dont forget.

Marking the chests is a good idea since there are at least three I've left unopened.
As for the map guy, I remember seeing him in passing, but I can't remember where he is now.

He does not get more. I bought him out pretty early and he's still out. Not that I need more picks.
