Torn Teddy Bear

I missed the quest in the beginning and after fighting Pepper I got the key, and the Bear from the location. Can I still turn it in for another quest or just a quest item finding a permanent place in my inventory?

You give the bear to Pepper as he's the one who gave you the quest to investigate the haunted house. Obviously, you need to do it before progressing main story.

I didn't find the bear or the quest until after defeating Pepper. I was just asking in general.

What is the reward for the quest? I'm at the end and this is the only quest i missed, hopefully it's not a weapon or an ability.

The reward is just two lockpicks and 200 gold, nothing essential.
