Male only protagonist?

Are are we going to get a choice of male or female player character? The game looks beautiful but I think I may give it a miss if we have to play with a premade male character with their own backstory.

jesus christ i hate bs posts like this. I'm a lefty, apparently woke, am down with 'inCLUsiveness' but don't give a rats BIScuit if a character is male OR female, I just want a game to be great. It.....it's not the naw-i want-to-be-a-chick moan I'm cranky with, I mean that's great, sometimes *I* want to be a chick too (not necessarily while gaming). it's the omg-i-couldn't-POSSibly-play-this-if-i-have-to-have-testicles one. Thank CRAP MY testicles didn't shrink back into my bladder when I first saw TOMB Raider or Syberia or Hellblade or Neir Automata or Half Life Alyx or Celeste or Bayonetta, lest I didn't get to exPERIENCE those wonderful games. I'm ALSO planning on playing Stray, and I'm a DOG person! N...not like a furry, but in a i like dogs and hate cats kind of way. I'M NOT A FURRY I'M NOT!!

agreed. this game would benefit a lot from a male/female character option.

Sorry, I like playing as myself in games.. and Im a male. No, I dont want to play Cross-dress or dressup. I dont mind if the char is white (I am not white).. Im not that picky.. But I do like to play Males as opposed to females in a video game. Sue me.
