What triggers the early ending?

This is a pretty lame ending imo, because all of my questions about the the story and characters went unanswered.

Its one of two (if i remeber correctly) kinda "fake" endings. It plays the credits and throws you back to main menu but its not even close to the end of the main story :D
This is triggered by picking the "wrong" choices in that dialogue window.

It's triggered by saying "Yes" to "Do you want to return to your friends?" There are a few places where you can get bad endings by choosing the wrong dialogue options. That's all there is to it.

The right option is to choose to use the scales.
