I've bought Oblivion remastered and I'm having far more fun with it, even though it has a ton of loading screens. The scope and innovations of Starfield is really minimal, in some areas like quests and settlements, it has even devolved.
Yet we now get a minor update...
"DON'T ASK QUESTIONS !!! JUST CONSUME PRODUCT AND THEN GET EXCITED FOR NEXT PRODUCT!!!"
we don't like people who are using their brain..!! that's not good for big business..!! so please don't ask questions and just go on consuming the product..!! and then just please can you get excited for next product..!!! !!!! !!!!
i think i just finally accepted that Starfield will never be a good game. As you said, after all this silence, the first update is... this? Why bother... why not put something new, or reworked out? Do bug fixes later, it works well enough as is.
If we don't get a a free update that drastically improves the existing mechanics *and* not *or* a second DLC that elaborates or expands said mechanics. I just see no reason to play it again.
That's after nearly 400 hrs, already. It was always "just good enough" to keep playing... if that's all that's slated for future updates, just "good enough.' I don't think I'm going to bother reinstalling.
