You have to change your game to play "beta" patches. If my settings have not been set to play betas then I cannot play them. So, if the patch is automatically downloaded to my game, then the patch has to be live. But the patch still displays "Beta." Also, when you change your settings in order to play a Beta patch, Mods are automatically disabled and I would not need SFSE to play them and my game would not be blocked waiting for SFSE to be updated.
I also have 57 years experience in the computer industry with my first computer class happening in 1967. My last course was around 2012. I am retired. My first game was on a mainframe in the early '70s. I started writing my own games in the late '70s and then I went into business specializing in multi-user microcomputers for business applications. Bugs in business applications have to be fixed properly, but they don't kill people; but they do cause businesses to fail.
No more trolling, please as I will not comment any more.
Regards,
I think one of the issues is that we have worlds with nothing on them. The other games, aren't even a single world put a country of said world or a single map filled with many many things to do. What I hope for Starfield is that content will be added to planets and fill them up. Rather than them adding new planets. Give us actual story on some of these planets and fill them up with creatures and enemies that will keep us busy on that one planet. Anything less than that, will be a failure.
1. Pause
2. Go to "Inventory"
3. Go to "Weapons"
4. Un-equip current weapon to go back to fists/bare-handed
That's ridiculous. Fists are considered weapons in the game and should be hotkey-able to the weapon wheel or just permanently there by default. BGS needs to take a look at how CDPR did their weapon wheel for Cyberpunk 2077. The "unarmed" icon is permanently there because it makes sense.
Anyway, enough of my rant. Hopefully, they fix it.
However, Survival Mode and a proper reason to build Outposts outside of "Clutter Artisting", is still missing, and so there's virtually 0 reason why, after 1100 hours playing Starfield, I should return.
Survival Mode and FO4 outpost MUST return. Otherwise the whole game is just that,
an immensly huge potential wasted.
Some thoughts brought about by the latest patch.
-Needs to be a cool down between "fed" and "hungry" status, if there already is, it needs to be longer, or something you can adjust.
-Gameplay variable needs to be added to give medpacks, digipicks, and notes weight.
-Gameplay variable experience bonus's need to be optional.
-Need to add some of the decorations from ship modules into the list of stuff you can decorate your ship with. At the very least, need to be able to make an empty module look like it's basic version.
Things to consider in future patches:
-Gameplay variable needs to be added to give medpacks, digipicks, and notes weight.
-Gameplay variable needs to be added to extend the length of enemies going from danger, to caution, to normal states.
-Gameplay variable needs to be added that will set enemies on enemy ships you board to constantly be in a caution if not danger state.
-Need to have some control over where doors and ladders appear, and the facing of ladders. Quite frankly, I'm sick and tired of having to get very creative over module placement just to get a ship interior that isn't a maze.
-Need to be able to flip equipment plates on the exterior of ships so I can have upside down weapon placement.
