Delta dissapears

Starting personal quest of a Constellation companion will force Delta to stop following you. This is bad if you are aboard an enemy ship like doing one of the Incursions. I did not realize he was not there till after I left the ship and it blew up. I only started it by accident trying to trade to Sarah. She started her quest and he is dismissed on the spot. Did not realize this. He is not in either of my companion or crew lists. Going to have to go back about 4 hours game play to get him back. So just a warning. Make sure you are somewhere safe when you start these quests so that Delta will be there when you get back. Each Constellation companion quest makes that companion the only one available until after you complete it.

I had similar occur to me but in the Well. I noticed he was no longer following me and even though I am looking at him, he is not in my crew roster.

Delta should have returned to the station. You may need to assign/unassign to a ship or outpost to force the game to send him back there.

I switched during the mission with DELTA from DELTA to another companion and during gaming switched also ships. When I activated the DELTA mission again the blue mission marker showed up at different places (pilot seat, somewhere inside ship, etc.) but no DELTA there.
I got DELTA back as I switched the ship, made another ship to the home ship. Then DELTA stood inside the changed home ship.
