Yes, game still has loading screens. They can't be patched out.

They're very quick on my SSD, pretty much instant. If that helps.

The loading screens allow more detail in each area. People complain already about having to have higher end machines to play this game. Imagine the whining if it required the absolute best PC possible just to play at 20 FPS?

What is the problem with loading screens? Try waiting for your new game to load from a cassette tape, or having to swap multiple 5.25" floppies in your external floppy drive. Kids today. :steamfacepalm:

I tried it on gamepass when it came out, hated the load screens. Thanks for the info but will pass on this and try something other.

what, you're not gonna hang around for the next six months complaining about it?

No too many other games to play :)

It's not realistically possible to patch out the cell loads. The entire game has been designed around it.

Sadly it does and i didnt like it. Wish it was space sim, idk if its arcade or realistic. But Bethesda sure ruin that game :(

If that helps, you can generally just open your map and select your destination. That will require 1 loading screen to reach planet orbit and 1 loading screen to land on the area.

If you already visited a location on a planet, you can fast travel to it (1 loading screen) from anywhere in the galaxy.

You NEVER have to run back to your ship unless you're encumbered or inside a docked ship/space station.
LOL

That logic doesn't apply to "details"
The Witcher 3 hardly has any loading screens and more details.

Well obviously, its an integrated part of the game and it is there due to engine and console limitations.

Imagine trying to play this game on an Xbox without loading screens.. the xbox would set itself on fire.
Any PC would as well.

No. We have so many games that works perfectly fine and with better artistic design (graphics) without these issues.

Its primarily made to be able to get those 30 fps on console.. Starfield was created for and with Xbox in mind, not the PC after all.
A counter example is CP2077, that game was made with and for PC in mind and ported to console (we all know how it went on last gen console)

The point here is, that its limitations and xbox + the engine is to blame for those.
In some cases however its just poor technical approach, like when you have to use 4 seperate loading screens to go from a to b, when you can just skip and get one loading screen only... basically circumvening 95% of all space elements..

In many ways, Starfield is not a game about space, but a game about planets.
It's not the game, it's the CE2 which is limited. It couldn't run without loading screens
