Starfield is still constantly crashing even after so many patches lol...

I don't want to sound like that idiot that always says "it's you", but...

It's you... This one doesn't generally crash, no where near as much as previous Bethesda games anyway, so if your getting THAT many crashes, it's not normal behaviour.

When is it crashing?
Do you have mods?
Do you meet minimum specs for the game?
Have you done anything to fix it?
Have you verified your game files?
Does it do it on a fresh new game?

Some more information would go some way to getting some help...

The problem is with your computer setup. Cause the game works great for tons of us.

About 70 hours in on Series X, and have had no crashes yet. Glitches for sure, but it's running just fine otherwise.

I haven't crashed once.

What trouble shooting have you done?

(I'm assuming you meet minimum specs and have disabled any mods you might be using).

Please heed the words of the others here and look to your system for the source of your crashes. I have over 1800 hours played and counting the one that happened just as I was closing a major orbital battle (very annoying) I have experienced maybe a dozen crashes or freezes. That's one for every 150 hours played, which is just about average for every high-end game I have ever played. For a Bethesda game it is far less than I expected.

Besides hardware factors, you should pay very close attention to what is happening on your computer outside of Starfield -- it does not play well with apps and processes that demand a large chunk of system and/or video card memory. Do you run background or simultaneous RAM-expensive apps and processes? Even with 64Gb system RAM and a 12Gb Nvidia RTX 3060 I have to be careful not to try and do too much besides play the game, usually just the Steam app and my browser with two or three tabs open.

Whenever a thread includes lol in their post I can't take a word they say seriously. Especially when I've played for over 1,500 hours on the same character save with a grand total of 2 crashes.

Only reasons I have crashed is due to a few choice mod/load order Issues.
Otherwise this really is one one the most stable PC games I have ever run

I have crashed a couple times in the several hundred hours I have played, but, usually only after I have been playing for a long stretch. (six hours or more.) And even then, it's only happened maybe 3 times..... This is one of most stable beth games I have ever played. And I run a fair few mods.....

todd say you may need to upgrade pc's. did you buy a new 5k pc set up?

I've played almost 500 hours and the game has only crashed once during that time. And it crashed because of a mod I had installed while participating in the current beta. So it was totally my fault. I just don't hear a lot of people experiencing crashes. Especially a lot of crashes.

Not quite. My potato PC cost $900 3 yrs ago. With upgrades, I spent a total of $1400.
